Persistent snow showers
Thomas out of the shower in a snow shower Persistent snow showers at ABC has us in a holding pattern and playing the high altitude patience game, something that happens on all expeditions. So perhaps you can imagine the scene here of drawn out meals, very boisterous banter between Thomas and Julian who have almost solved all the worlds woes. Martin has given up on ever educating us on classical music and is trading books with who ever has something to offer. The short list of movies is selected with a shuffle to make the process somewhat random and right now Blood Diamond is playing. Periods of retreat in our tents. Hot showers between snow showers. Our Sherpas are all at ABC with us doing there own social rounds and visiting mates at different camps. The weather shows one more days of showers before the moist southerly flow finally abates and the wind shifts to the west and clear skies come upon us. Of course at this time the summit slopes still have to stabilize and ropes still need to be fixed before we can mount a summit bid. Ciao for now Mike R for the AC Team
