Adventure Coaching had the huge honour of hosting the New Zealand Premiere of the amazing Sea Kayak film and DVD "This is the Sea 4".
In particular, people were very interested in the 50 minute segment on the circumnavigation of the South Island. The film had been put together by Justine Curgenven - who was interviewed as one of the 'Adventure Heroes' at the beginning of the year.
The day before screening the film also won an award at the Kendal Mountain Film Festival. So it was a pretty big build-up.
So it was with a real air of excitement and anticipation that the crowd of around 100 eager adventurers watched the film. And the verdict afterwards - over beer and pizza - was that it was "a winna, mate!"
We feel quietly proud to have our homeland represented so well by Justine's film. Thanks Justine.
The evening also raised money for "Project K" which is a fantastic programme that works with 14-15 year olds. It gives them a taste of adventure and teaches life skills.
